WELCOME

Hello and welcome to the inaugural Paramount Sales newsletter.  We want to make this monthly letter an informative mix of news and information. 

This month, Paramount Sales is pleased to announce we were the leading consignor by average for consignors with 10 or more yearlings in the 2002 Keeneland September Yearling Sale select session.  Our yearlings averaged $588,181 led by the $1.5 million dollar DANZIG - CATCHASCATCHCAN (GB) colt purchased by Demi O'Byrne.

 
SALES AND ENTRY DEADLINES

Now is the time to begin sales planning for 2003.  Pat Costello will be in Florida and Maryland during the month of February to assist in sales selection for breeders.  If you have yearlings currently stabled in either of these locations, Pat would be pleased to come and inspect them for upcoming Paramount consignments.  Some of Paramount Sales highlights from our inaugural season are:            

1)  4th leading consignor in the world.
   
2) Sold top yearlings, consigning 12 individuals for a total of more than $6 million.
   
3) Sold $1.5 million dollar colt by DANZIG - CATCHASCATCHCAN (GB) for Castleton Lyons.
   
4) Leading consignor by average in September [for consignors selling 10 or more yearlings]. Paramount yearlings averaged $588,181 in September.

Each month we will remind you of upcoming sales schedules and sales entry deadlines.  The deadlines upcoming are:

Although the deadline for the Fasig Tipton July and Saratoga sales has past, we are confident that we have at least a number of weeks to finalize our submissions for these sales.  Please call us if you'd like to submit your yearling to consign to the Fasig Tipton sales.
