GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT

Continuing the strong representation at the track, Paramount graduates are winning impressively all over the world.  In the past week alone, two graduates won stakes races.

ANTONIUS PIUS, already a Group 1 horse in Europe, made the most of his trip home to America.  The bay son of DANZIG out of CATCHASCATCHCAN (GB) was a hard charging second in the G1 Breeders' Cup Mile on Saturday.  While showing a history of being a handful in the bridle while in the stretch, ANTONIUS PIUS proved himself difficult once again for jockey Jamie Spencer.  But with strong urging the colt got up for a tough fought second to SINGLETARY.  Congratulations to Aidan O'Brien and Michael Tabor as well as breeder Dr. Tony Ryan.

AMBITION UNBRIDLED, by Taylor Made stallion UNBRIDLED'S SONG repeated her winning form at The Meadowlands in the P.G. Johnson S. on October 23rd.  The gray filly jumped out of the gate on the lead and never looked back.  AMBITION UNBRIDLED received every call there after to win the race by four and  a quarter widening lengths.  Congratulations to owner Michael Gill and trainer Gamaliel Vazquez.

An exciting graduate that has been very successful for her owners Howard and Mary Lester has been PENNY'S FORTUNE.  The daughter of STORM CAT out of LOVELIER LINDA (a half sister to OLD TRIESTE) reeled off a couple of very good races before running second in the Harold C. Ramser S. at Santa Anita on October 11.  PENNY'S FORTUNE off the pace near the raile early in the race, angled wide in the turn and finished with good momentum to finish second.  Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Lester and trainer Jenine Sahadi.
