SARATOGA SUCCESS

Saratoga was well worth the trip for Paramount this season.  The perennial trip was highlighted by the fourth highest selling yearling.  The 2003 UNBRIDLED'S SONG colt out of the mare MESMERIZED was another class act in Paramount Sales' Saratoga consignment.  The colt brought $1,150,000 in the final session of the sale on Thursday, August 12, purchased by William B. Haines.

Additionally, Paramount Sales had a very strong showing in the New York Preferred Sale, finishing as the second highest consignor by gross.  Topping the NY Prefferred Sale for Paramount was the half sister to G2 A LULU OFA MENIFEE. The filly by STORM CREEK out of LU LU'S LULLABY who was sold for $160,000.  Congratulations to all connections and best wishes to all our yearlings new owners.

GRADUATE SPOTLIGHT

Continuing the strong representation at the track, Paramount graduates are winning impressively all over the world.  In the past week alone, two graduates won stakes races.

AMBITION UNBRIDLED, by Taylor Made stallion UNBRIDLED'S SONG won the Candy Eclair S. at Monmouth Park on September 6th.  The grey filly hustled to the lead and set the pace.  After a quick quarter in :21 2/5 and a half if a very swift :44 1/5, the three-year-old filly held on to win by a length and a quarter.  The final time for the five furlongs on the turf was :57 flat.  Congratulations to owner Michael Gill and trainer Gamaliel Vazquez.

Then like deja vous, the same afternoon, REFOREST also by the Taylor Made stallion FORESTRY, wired the field in the Pennsylvania Oaks to dead heat a $100,000 stake race.  Owned by Edmund Gann and trained by Bobby Frankel, the bay filly hit each pole in the lead running the early fractions of :232, :47, 1:104 and finishing the mile and seventy in 1:411.  Congratulations to all connections.
