THREE NEW WINNERS FROM CLASS OF '02

Trainer Steve Asmussen pulled a cat out of his hat when CAT BUSTER debuted impressively at Saratoga on August 20th.  The Paramount grad and half brother to two-time champion HOUSEBUSTER won his five furlong maiden race in :57.47 seconds.   The son of TALE OF THE CAT stalked about five lengths off the lead into the stretch thereafter clearing the field and besting his rivals by two and three quarter lengths. Congratulations to owners Keith Asmussen and Oceanfront Properties, trainer Steve Asmussen and breeders Gaines-Gentry Thoroughbreds and Pacelco SA.

Additional Paramount sale yearlings from 2002 to win are WITHDRAWN and HAJJI'S HONOR who each broke their maidens during the month of August.  Their combined wins tallied an impressive 13 1/2 lengths.  Congratulations to WITHDRAWN'S owner Gene Phelps and trainer Judi Hicklin, and congratulations to HAJJI'S HONOR'S owner Hajji Farm and trainer Charles J. Jenda.

AND THE WINNER IS . . .

Each month we announce our previous month's winner for dinner at Nadine's.  Because of time constraints surrounding the Saratoga sale, we were unable to announce July's winner in our last newsletter.  So this month we have the winners for both July and August.  July's winner is Sara Wyley of Springwood LLC, Midway, KY.  August's winner is Sylvia Buerkle of Darley at Jonabell Farm, Lexington, KY.  Congratulations to you both.  We hope you enjoy your evening of fine food on us!
